Who is John Titor?

As many already know, John Titor was an alleged Time Traveler who posted various predictions and information about his journey and the future at Time Travel Institute. After over 7 years of investigation, a Time Travel Institute user named JohnTitor2063 has created a summary of his findings about John Titor and other people involved with the urban legend.

John says:
The 2 investigators I credit the most for solving this mystery are John Razimus and Paula Jedi.

Art Bell was a paranormal radio show host who asked people to call in with convincing stories that they are time travelers. The most convincing one was a guy named Rick from Mississippi who was helping Mad Man Marcum with his time travel experiments suggesting Marcum should send a message to himself in the past. Rick called again from Southern California as Mike from 2037. He didn’t do a bad job with his time travel story. So he was given an 11 part interview with Art Bell as John Single Seven from 2063. He based a lot of the future on the “Demolition Man” movie.

John got the idea to fax Art Bell three times. The idea came from Mike Mitreski in a chat room. That’s about the time I got into this.

John hired the Haber family. Larry the Disney Lawyer. Morey the IBM and cyber-privacy expert. Most likely Larry’s son from which we get the “Steve Jackson Role-Playing Time Travel” elements. It was Morey that added the IBM part of John’s story. Larry’s wife’s sister is married to Joel Kostuch who is a director and producer at Disney. Joel came up with John’s background. Rochester, Minnesota, University of Florida, all that is Joel’s background. EyesViewMedia is just down the street from the John Titor Foundation and they were the ones who faked the “Where is John Titor” documentary. Oliver Willabus, who is Larry’s carpenter, has the official alias of “Oliver Williams” and signs all the legal documents for John and his Foundation. Art Haber, one of the brothers admitted the jist of this.

John later called in a lot as Oliver Williams who started to host the JohnTitorFoundation.Com and JohnTitor.Com websites. Who is John? He’s somewhat of a genius who graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Engineering. He called into the Art Bell show as an actor. J.L.Glass, the comic-book writer, who also called in to Art Bell to play different roles was probably helping him with tips.

Finally, David “Boomer” Brin and Karen Haber, two of the most well known time travel writers were probably called in to consolidate the story to make a movie. David says “The Postman” was inspired by the John Titor story. This is yet unverified. Finally, the movie failed to be produced. John tried to do a few podcasts but he wasn’t into it.

It was here that I think the Foundation was trying to continue the legend under John Titor’s mother K. or Kay Titor. But that plan collapsed.

Joseph Matheny did come up with part of the John Titor story and the Live Action Role-Playing as if it was real. He refused to release his part of the story to the Foundation so that killed the movie project. He bragged about it later on a radio program where psychics were speculating about the future. I think it was Joseph’s talented prop maker friend who may have been inspired by the GhostBusters props, who made the time machine.

Where did the name “John Titor” come from?

John comes from the characters “John Connor” from the “Terminator” movie and “John Spartan” from the “Demolition Man”, John Single Seven’s favorite movie.

Titor comes from two of the sisters who are married to Joel and Larry. Titshaw. That is a very unusual name so John would not have that name unless something like this was the case. .The Titor could refer to “Terminator” or “Time Traveler” as it sounds like a sped up way of saying it.

John Titor Solved

If I remember correctly, and believe me, with my aging brain remembering doesn’t always come as easy as it use to, I’ve been studying John Titor since 2008. I’ve tried to track him down, ignoring key people in the saga as well ending up hitting some brick walls, or dead ends as they are usually called.  I just didn’t put the elbow grease into the effort, and was caught up in the story itself. After all, the John Titor story is fascinating and creative and it has entertained hundreds of people for over 15 years.

I ran into a guy named Razimus, and at first I was very skeptical of his claim that he solved John Titor with nothing but handwriting analysis. To me, it seemed something was missing and I couldn’t help but think that many people could write in the same style. I also pondered the fact that someone else did the writing for Titor. Could Morey Haber have written FOR John Titor? It’s possible, but what are the odds that an entire family would be involved with John Titor himself? If John were real, he would only be dealing with the lawyer, Larry Haber, and the family members would have no need to intervene with this endeavor because Larry assumably had nothing but a professional relationship with Titor.

When you watch this video by Razimus of Hoax Hunter, you will see that every single Haber brother and even a son/nephew became involved in covering up the actions of Morey Haber. This information and the e-mails Razimus received are what have casted doubt in my belief that John Titor is real. And you know what?  In the back of my mind, I knew it all along. The Haber family was sticking out like a sore thumb this whole time, but because the story was romanticized, it was easy to overlook their involvement.

Am I embarrassed that I believed John Titor was real? No. Not in the least. We learn, grow, and change as time goes on. That is perfectly normal for any human being.   I am still a strong believer in time travel itself. My theory is that even if time travel is invented in 1000 years, it exists now because if someone can access our timeline, then the technology most certainly exists.

I cannot fathom time travel not existing in, let’s say, 3000 years. I believe it is inevitable. Current physicists would not be able to comprehend the technology of 3000 years into the future, so of course some of them may be skeptical. Scientists such as Kaku believe that type 0 civilizations cannot achieve time travel. Well, he is a type 0 scientist. Of course he believes that. But, jump into the future when this same civilization is a type 3. They WILL be able to time travel, in my humble opinion, and traveling to our time makes time travel itself even exist for us!

At any rate, I do plan on keeping my site up to explore more aspects of space and time travel and I will never forget the John Titor story and how it has impacted my life. Below is the video containing Razimus’ proof that Morey Haber is indeed the John Titor hoaxter.

An Interview with Temporal Recon,
author of  Conviction of a Time Traveler

by PaulaJedi

Please Note: I no longer support Temporal Recon. My interviews will remain online as samples of my work and to leave up as historical documents.

Time Traveler John Titor’s infamous 2015 has arrived and many people are waiting in anticipation to find out if the United States will indeed find itself under nuclear attack by the Russians, or instead, find that the concept of divergence has saved us all from this impending doom.  While we wait to find out our fate, perhaps we should revisit a previous interview by Temporal Recon, author of the John Titor related book Conviction of a Time Traveler.  Then, we can read about what else he has to say about time travel.  In the brand new interview below, Temporal Recon is offering us a new glimpse of his mind by speculating on many more topics including John Titor, time travel in general, and even aliens. If you’re ready to begin the journey, buckle up your seatbelts, sit back, and enjoy the ride.

Has your opinion of the authenticity of John Titor changed since you’ve written the book Conviction of a Time Traveler

In a word, no. My understanding of the larger question regarding ‘time travel’ has only deepened and expanded. Not to diminish Titor’s impact or importance, I have discovered that Titor was “merely” one example of the larger phenomenon (No offense, John!).

Where have you discovered these other examples? In the media? The movies? Can you provide any examples?

I am averse at highlighting particular examples, and for a variety of reasons.  Some make themselves known as time travelers while others do not.  They have a job to do and far be it from me to point the spot light of legitimacy upon them when they may not want it.  I simply don’t want to interfere in the work they are doing.

That being said, I will say that I am surprised at the sheer volume of their presence.  We are being visited, literally, all the time.

Do you believe the United States is preparing for martial law, if and when it is necessary? What evidence can you find to support this?

I make a conscious effort to actively avoid the nightly bad news on television, though I get some news online as a means to maintain a modicum of situational awareness. Any specific actions that the United States Government is or is not taking is unknown to me.

This does not make me cold or unfeeling to what I DO see is happening. I simply try to keep in mind, however, that everything we’re seeing, everything we’re experiencing and everything that angers us has already happened (from a future-history perspective).  My peace of mind is more important to me than the tempting addiction to anger and outrage that is fed to us daily. Admittedly, this outlook is a tightrope. Even I am surprised sometimes at what is happening and what is being attempted.

Do you believe that John Titor left messages in other places besides the internet?  Why or why not?  Where?

Thinking a bit larger, I would say this question and the one that immediately follows is a bit out of order.  Rather, I would ask, “do you believe that TT’ers in general leave messages elsewhere?”  and “do you think John Titor did this?”  The short answer is yes, to both questions.  As one example, are you discounting the likelihood that the faxes in 1998 to Art Bell were from Titor?

I was reviewing Conviction of a Time Traveler the other day and I noticed that I made an error:

In COATT,  I stated that the faxes were from an individual who claimed to be John Titor.  This was an error and I apologize for this oversight.  (Incredibly, nobody pointed this out in over 5 years).  The faxes were never signed (or Bell never gave the name if they were).  But the content of the faxes inexorably points to Titor.  Doesn’t this show that they do in fact interact via means other than the internet and before the internet age?

Do you believe other time travelers have done the same?

Nice to see that your question implies and acknowledges the existence of other time travelers out there.   There is a larger stage present with many actors.

Many people still say that none of John Titor’s predictions have come true. Which predictions do you believe actually have come true and how do you feel about using only predictions as proof of time travel, anyway?

A great question for its implications.

First of all, “many people” are simply wrong on many of their assertions.  I learned long ago that usually the single best source of information is my own research.  “Many People” are too often biased by their own assumptions, preconceptions and agendas to be a reliable source of insight or information.  This applies to both the Debunkers as well as the True Believers.  As a result I ignore “Many People.”

While you can look at the arrivals/departures board at an airport to discern a plane’s itinerary, it is not the sole source of truth and sometimes it can be erroneous. Just as an airliner leaves skid marks on the runway indicating landings taking place there, so do the actions of TT’ers leave similar traces.

That being said, the question of whether ‘time travel’ is real or not is largely answered in my mind so I don’t normally go out in search of the latest arrival to our humble little corner of the multi-verse.  There are larger questions to ask than to try to keep track of all the comings and goings.

Explain the concept of “gears” and how it relates to time travel.  Have any new “gears” made themselves known to you since you’ve written your book?

There is a gif on my blog that shows a series of interlocking gears and all turning in concert.  In looking at those interlocking gears it is impossible to discern from whence the motive force comes.  Which gear is the source of power that turns all the others?  This is the underlying question as it pertains to the ‘time travel’ question.  What strings are being pulled? In what direction? Who is doing the pulling?  It is quite elementary to observe the moving gear, but figuring out why it’s moving is a wholly different question.

Another item that must be included in our calculus of the question is the accounting of the gears that exist but go unseen; that are hidden from view but are turning nonetheless.  In looking at the gif on the blog, one assumes he is seeing all the gears; that the full problem set is quantifiable.  If the time travel question has proven one thing to me, it is that the full picture is not known (either by me or the vast majority of those who profess interest in the topic).  There are gears (such as actors, events, motives) that are not readily observable, yet they exist nonetheless.

Regarding the article you shared about the Berenstain bears as well as my own experience with apparent changes in the timeline, do you now believe that humans can or will be able to pick and choose which timeline to visit, despite the seemingly strict rules of the Multiple Worldline Theory? After all, wouldn’t it just be a mathematical issue?

I am no mathematician, but I might ask, were that the case, then we would need to be able to calculate infinity +1.  Is that possible?

Why do you believe infinity +1 is the key to time travel?

Sorry, I believe I didn’t make myself clear here.

I did not mean that “infinity” is the key to time travel.  Rather, I meant that in order to travel to one world line out of an infinite quantity of world lines as you propose, the traveler would first have to quantify infinity.   Infinity, for all intents and purposes, is an imaginary number.  Any “number” per se is a quantity.  Infinity is not a quantity, it is a concept.  As a matter of fact, “infinity” could very well be described as the very inability to quantify at all.  So, returning to your original hypothesis of finding a way to travel to a particular “ZD” WL in an infinite sea of WL’s, you would first have to quantify the set {infinity} and then pick one out of that set. As before, I reserve the right to be wrong here.  Many do not ascribe the appropriate respect to the mathematical meaning of “infinite” and thus miss its true incomprehensibleness.

But do we know for certain that the universe and time are infinite? For one universe to be infinite, are we assuming it is infinite in both directions, like a line, are we not? What are your thoughts?

You are mixing apples and apple trees here, Paula.

I did not say that a universe (world line) is infinitely “long.” I said that it is reported (by TimeTravel_0) that the quantity of WL’s is infinite and is, by definition, unquantifiable.

I believe Titor did state that individual universes do indeed have specific beginnings and endings.

I would also caution against characterizing a universe as a “line.”  This characterization is an artifact of how we perceive moments in time (past then present then future).  A universe (with all its constituent dimensions) likely is much more akin to a bubble where all moments exist simultaneously.

But I do understand (and welcome) the ease that characterizing a worldline as a line offers, especially to the layman.  Just understand that calling it a line is merely a convention, not necessarily the actual truth.

My thought is that once we visit a particular universe, we will have the “map” or coordinates to revisit or even trace our steps backwards.  In your opinion, would this make returning to your home universe any more plausible?

Navigation is a very interesting topic and I welcome the discussion, though if I were to speculate and to answer your question, I would say likely no.

Firstly, can we be certain we can identify all possible dimensions (or at the very least even be aware of their existence) and their values that would be required to reliably describe any given universe in all its conditions? (A WL’s ‘coordinates’ as it were)

Putting the problem in terms of geographic coordinates, consider how we find ourselves on the globe right now: we use geographic coordinates where one series of numbers identifies a line of latitude and a second number identifies a line of longitude.  Where those two lines cross is a discreet and identifiable location on the globe; two dimensions.

When we talk about coordinates of a particular WL, all things being equal, we are faced with one primary and fundamental problem:  quantifying infinity (the globe, as it were).  Any means of identifying a particular world line such as how you hypothesize would necessarily be a relative position relative to all other world lines (and it would have to be all of them) just as all lines of latitude or longitude are relative to a specific datum (the Prime Meridian for example).  And if that quantity is constantly and infinitely changing (an infinite number of universes being created, existing and ending) then identifying one particular WL would be impossible because the datum would constantly and infinitely be changing (or at the very least, never fixed).

What is important to take away here is that this system only works when the total number of lines of longitude and latitude are fixed and permanent.  How would it be possible (for example) to go to the 56th degree of north latitude when the quantity of parallels (both north and south of it) is constantly in flux?

But this line of questions does highlight an interesting aspect of TT_0’s narrative.  He claimed his system could indeed describe a WL,  but only as it is

  1. relative to his origin WL, not relative to the totality of all universes within the multiverse and
  2. Taking it further, the technology doesn’t describe the WL’s location, but rather it’s ‘amount’ of difference from his original as measured by gravity.  This is key.

If the idea of divergence is a real one, then we can infer that measuring that divergence, and keeping it to a minimum, is of paramount importance in navigation and not necessarily the WL’s relative “location” within the infinitely mutable multiverse.

This hangs quite nicely with TT_0’s claims that returning to one’s own “home” universe is just as impossible.  He said himself that returning to his WL or “origin” was impossible (or at least so infinitely unlikely that renders the possibility impossible).  Remember: infinite means infinite.

So, in terms of navigation within the multiverse, minimizing divergence is likely a much larger factor than many might believe.  As a matter of fact, I am sure that divergence is the single largest factor when it comes to navigation through time (if divergence is a real thing in the first place).

Zero Divergence is mathematically possible. Is math sufficient evidence for proving that one day we can travel to whichever timeline we wish, and is it possible that John Titor was not being 100% truthful about this issue?

Traveling to whichever world line we wish seems to be an impossibility based on my answer above (though I reserve the right to be wrong on the matter).  Also, your question presumes that the number of universes ‘in existence’ is static and “stuck at infinity.”  This is likely not the case since new universes are created in every “moment” (if ‘moment’ is even definable).  Once one gets their head around that, then some semblance of awe takes hold when considering the true scope of what “infinite multi-verse” really means.

Getting to the second part of your question, I imagine John was as truthful as our own understanding allowed within the constraints of what he could and could not talk about.

Do you believe consciousness plays a role in time travel?

A simple question worthy of an encyclopedia’s worth of answer.  Yes, consciousness likely intersects with Time Travel.  I find consciousness to be the underpinning of reality itself.  Because of this, your question is phrased a little backwards.  Instead, perhaps it should be asked thusly:

Do I believe time travel implicates consciousness?

Again, the answer is yes (the transitive property holds here, haha).  It is my firm, experiential, understanding that the multi-verse is composed of consciousness running throughout it.  I might even be drawing a difference without a distinction.  Personally, I tend to think of consciousness as an information field. That field encompasses (and composes) all universes that exist (and have the possibility and probability to exist as probability waves or possibility waves).  Again, I reserve the right to be wrong.

So, if a time traveler is able to move from one universe to another, he likely comes into contact with the pure, unadulterated information field while “in transition” to a different WL. This is pure speculation on my part and I should be careful to not conflate speculation with my own research on the matter, but the theory seems to hang together nicely.

The results of this exposure could and likely results in psychological effects such as the Alter Vue experience.

For Example:

Consider a twig as representative of a single universe.  No branches, no junctions.  Just a simple, straight twig.

Now, consider a lake of water.  That lake represents the consciousness of everything in the multi-verse.
You need to add onions, garlic, bananas and spices in your diet to generic cialis visit for more info achieve better blood flow. This particular issue has been a problem of specific region in body, in fact it includes grafting of tendons and muscles from other parts into the base of penis which makes it look like a levitra generika greyandgrey.com romantic evening that is accompanied by a bottle of wine on the table with a delectable meal and my lovely girl. This again promotes the strong blood flow which causes an erection. buy viagra overnight They find it difficult to emotionally or sexually connect with their partners cialis 10mg price sexually or emotionally, which in turn make such men withdraw from sexual activities due to their failure to get an erection during sexual intercourse.
Place the twig in the lake.

That is how I perceive the confluence and interaction between a universe and consciousness.  The small ripples already present in the lake cause the twig to respond by bobbing up and down; Consciousness effecting observable (and quantum) reality.

Now, place another twig in the lake.  This near identical twig is a near identical twin of the other twig/universe, nearly equal in all respects to its neighbor.  You now have two twigs floating in the lake of consciousness.

If you were to tap one twig floating in the water, it will cause ripples indicative and resulting from that tap.  Those ripples will eventually travel to the neighboring twig and cause it to bob in the water.

This bobbing of the second twig is a direct result of actions taken on a neighboring twig and transmitted to the other twig via “consciousness ripples.” Reality causing ripples in the information field.  This theorizes an interplay between the two.

This is my theory of the Alter Vue phenomenon.  The actions on one universe causing results in neighboring universes via the medium of consciousness.

I don’t believe I am breaking any new philosophical ground here, however.  Many before me have speculated on the same possibility outside of the TT question, but it applies nonetheless;  I am merely tying consciousness generally to the TT question specifically.

Out of the many aspects of the TT question, I find the Alter Vue phenomenon the most indicative of the larger scale of reality itself.  It points to a larger context and implies that there is a great deal we do not yet understand about the reality we inhabit.  “Traces of rubber on the runway” as it were.

I’m certain Copernicus would likely be rolling in his grave to learn his was but a very superficial description of a more-than-just-mechanistic universe.  There is a ghost in the Grand Machine.

Do you therefore believe in a global consciousness or is Earth simply a small portion, or a twig as you say, of the universal consciousness you described?

Of course. That ‘twig’ is resting on the surface of the lake, after all.  And that global consciousness is/must be connected to a larger universal consciousness which is then also connected to that underlying lake, the consciousness that allows information to pass between universes.  Again, this is speculation on my part, but informed speculation nonetheless

Do you believe that the “information field” of consciousness can be accessed by human beings?

If the information field exists as I believe it does, yes.  I would wager that we are never separate from it.  It is likely the water in which we swim.

Obviously, aliens must rely on time travel to reach our planet in a relatively timely manner (no pun intended).  Do you also agree that time travel plays a huge role in UFO phenomena?

Obviously?

I have written on the overlap of the UFO and TT question before in my essay entitled “Bending Gravity, Everybody Does it…”.  This essay highlighted the apparent confluence of the technology of bending gravity between the UFO and TT questions. I had no idea it was such an obvious connection to make (just teasing you a little, Paula).

I would clarify that your question presupposes that the UFOs and their occupants are ‘time traveling’ to reach us.  This was not the thrust of the essay and my current understanding, though I respect your own interpretation. Rather, that the UFO pilots are using similar technology that is also employed in TT.  A subtle distinction, but take it for what it’s worth.  Also, your question presupposes and assumes that physical travel is required to accomplish all of their aims, which is not necessarily the case.

Are you inferring that even UFO sightings may not actually be physical?

Not necessarily, but there is evidence to show that not all UFO sightings or experiences are, in fact, physical in nature.

Are the topics of time travel and UFO’s intertwined?

I believe so, yes.  At the technology level at least. See above.

Could some aliens be evolved human beings visiting ourselves from the future?  What are your thoughts?

How do you define human?  If in the next 2 million years we theoretically evolve out of the Homo Sapien Sapien species (a species so nice they named it twice) to a different species (Homo Sapien Proximus?  Homo Sapien Augustus?) then are they still Human by our current definition?  By this argument, and if the theory of evolution is true, then doesn’t that make gibbons human as well?

But to your question, yes, I suppose this is possible.

I wonder, has anyone considered what could be so darn interesting to Homo Augustus 2 million years into our future that would require them to visit us here/now?  Don’t they have more interesting problems to investigate? If you had a time/space machine, would you go back to Earth?  In 2 million years of TT effort and historical investigations, what else could there be to learn? Is there nothing more interesting in the infinite multi-verse than telling the inhabitants who wins an election?

What interesting and pressing problem do they find so interesting and pressing here and now that it requires their attention, even 2 million years into the future???  This sovereign question alone makes one believe that we are living in interesting times, but perhaps not for the reasons that might be readily observable to us now.

Wouldn’t warping space technically involve time as well since one would be pulling time towards him or herself? (Little bit of a Star Trek reference here).

The overlap I have discerned between the UFO question and the TT question rests at the technological level, not its application.  What I mean by this is that it appears, from all known reports on the matters, that the manipulation of gravity as a technology is common to both applications (interstellar travel and “inter-universal” travel, to coin a term).

One could make the comparison to cars versus chain saws.  Both technologies make use of the same principles of internal combustion, but apply it towards completely different ends and in completely different arenas (transportation vs logging). Just because we note the commonality in underlying technology does not mean we use Volkswagens to chop down trees.

The same appears to exist between two other arenas: The UFO question and the “Time Travel” question.  They both have a similar underlying technology though the application of said technology (the manipulation of gravity) appears to be different.

I am merely highlighting the commonality and attempting to unite two questions that have heretofore been separate.

There is an interesting corollary that can be inferred from this as well and tied back to the John Titor story, albeit a speculative one.  That is the idea that the manipulation of gravity and its application in either of these arenas is the ‘state of the art.’  According to reports, which is all we have at the moment, this technology apparently has not been improved upon anywhere/when.

Don’t you find it interesting that, if TT were invented in Tampa in 2036 as TimeTravel_0 claimed, that humanity got it correct right out of the gate?  And that that technique has not been improved upon by any civilization with which we have been in contact, anywhere/when?  If that’s the case, perhaps we don’t give ourselves enough credit for our ingenuity? Or perhaps there’s more to the ‘history’ of time travel tech?

Do we know for certain that John Titor is truly from Earth? Think, for a moment, about the implications involved if Titor came from another planet.  How do you believe this changes the entire John Titor story?

Your question presumes that humans are the only race native to earth that would/could travel through time and traverse the multi-verse. I have no information to the contrary, but let’s acknowledge our assumptions where we find them.  And considering no one physically examined Titor and reported back on the original forums, then yes, this is always a possibility that Titor was not human (by our current definition) and/or from a different planet.  In a spectrum of possibilities, this is one, yes.

If that were the case, my original question comes back to the fore:  What is so interesting that out of a near infinite number of worlds to visit, what makes this one at this time so interesting that they would expend blood and treasure to visit it?

Re-reading that last paragraph, I see an irony: Usually the argument against time travel is “If time travel is real, where are all the time travelers?”  I am explicitly stating the exact opposite, “because time travel is real, why is here/now so damn interesting that there are so many time travelers visiting us?”

Are you referring to the possibility that other types of humanoids lived here before we did and that current humanity could be alien hybrids?

I’ll attempt to answer your question with my own questions on the topic.

As a scene setter, when people discuss long lost civilizations, people invariably ask, “if they lived so long on this planet, where is all their technology and ruins left over from their time here?  Surely we would find something of theirs besides shaped rocks?  Why haven’t we discovered ancient fiber optic cables or computer chips?”

Setting aside for a moment that an ancient civilization solved technological problems the same way we do (using fiber optics or computer chips), many who ask these questions simply do not appreciate the sheer age of the planet (at current estimates).

Take for example plastic.  Conventional Wisdom is that plastic is extremely long lived and how it is the bane of the environment.  Fair enough.  Just doing a quick search on the internet, plastic is estimated to decompose from between 500-1000 years (all things being equal and in very general terms).

This means that if a civilization existed 10,000 years ago, and their civilization was built entirely of plastic, there would be literally zero direct trace of their existence at all.  But the premise states that the civilization existed.  Just because we cannot see their remains does not mean they didn’t exist.  The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Take another example: nuclear waste.  Uranium 234 has a half-life of 245,000 years.  This means that U234 will lose ½ of its radioactivity every 245,000 years.  Quite impressive, no?  Looks like that’s going to be around for a very long time.

Doing some very quick computations, given a starting point of 500 Becquerels of radiation, it will take 17 ‘generations’ (245,000 each) for the radioactivity to reach .007 Becquerels.  This means that U234 will essentially lose all of its radioactivity in 4.2 million years.  4 million years is also a very long time.

But relative to the existence of Earth, it loses its impressiveness.

The earth is currently estimated to be 4.5 billion years old.  If we arbitrarily exclude the first billion years to allow for the earth to form and cool to such a point that life may exist upon it (life as we know it of course), this still leaves 3.5 billion years of history to account for. three and a half billion.

This means that U234 would have lost its radioactivity over 800 times by the time we measured it.

If U234 can be utterly lost to time (8 hundred times over) by the time we measure it, then what does that say about the hypothesized civilization that originally mined, refined and used it?

My point here is that the Earth’s age (as currently estimated) leaves a lot of latitude for civilizations and their artifacts to rise, fall and decompose into oblivion and we would never be the wiser.

If that is the case, don’t you find it a little arrogant to believe that civilization “began” in the fertile crescent 2,000 years ago?  What was happening 2 billion years ago?  We’ll never know.

More of those unseen gears…

Do you personally believe in astral time travel and have you tried it? If so, what were the results of your effort?

Astral Travel is a bit mushy of a word.  I prefer to use simply “Out of Body” since it describes what is happening and not necessarily attempts to label the medium in which it occurs. Yes I have experienced it on a number of occasions.  In answer to your question, simply: “eye opening.”

Are you working on any other projects you’d like to share with us?

Thanks for asking. I no longer actively investigate the John Titor question per se; that has been answered to my own satisfaction, though I am always open to new gems that add to my understanding.

I now am looking more at the larger context in which the larger TT question resides, some of which I alluded to in my answers above.

If you could recommend a book about time travel to someone, what would it be and why?

You mean, besides Conviction of a Time Traveler?  haha.

In terms of reading TT for fun, I have to say that I haven’t read any TT books that weren’t directly connected to researching the topic (as counterintuitive as that may be).  That being said, a book called “Time Machines” by Nahin is a useful desk reference that I have made use of several times.  It is extremely comprehensive and was instrumental in my research several times.  I will say that he has captured some truth in it, though he was likely unaware of it.

Do you plan on writing any more books?

I have considered updating Conviction of a Time Traveler to some small degree but simply have not had the time. There are some tweaks I’d like to make and fix some typos but it is fairly far down the list of my chores.

Arrival of Time Travelers

The Arrival Of Time/Worldline Travelers
by Anonymous

Hello. This is the first time I’ve ventured to post on any forum (although I am registered on a couple of others), so, please forgive me if I’m not completely clear in my expressed objective as I write this. I’m a person who has been dealing with the angst of coming forward and relating what I personally have witnessed and experienced, in regards to time travel and their travelers.

I do not reside in Florida and have never had the opportunity to travel there. I am located on the west coast and I’m a native Californian. I’m also a city dweller who lives in an area that is well populated. But even those things that are unexpected are allowed to occur in the city.

I first heard the story of John Titor (a little over a year and a half ago) while listening to Coast to Coast KFI 64.0 FM on the radio. It was from a brief guest, interviewed by George Norey, that I learned about the archived threads of this individual who had asserted to be a time traveler from the year 2036. Afterwards, for some uncharacteristic reason, I found myself curiously intrigued by what I had heard and, felt compelled to examine these archived threads for myself.

Up until that time, I hadn’t believed in the feasibility of time travel, nor had I considered it to be an achievement that would, if ever, evolve into something that was realistically viable. Since the exploration that is needed in acquiring the knowledge, as well as the technological means (that would undoubtedly be required for such an enterprising feat to reach fruition) appeared far removed from any truly significant research being conducted by the scientific communities at this time. Nor have they truly indorsed the idea of time travel as conceivably being possible in the future.

But, as I went through and perused the numerous archived postings of John Titor, I was amazed by just how cogent and lucid he was in the manner in which he articulated his thoughts, objectives, concerns and even his rationale for posting. His writings (in my opinion) did not portray him as an individual having an ignoble agenda nor did it render him as a person who was even possibly unstable mentally. On the contrary, he was very coherent with the limited information he had made available regarding how time travel is/was achieved. He even went as far as to post a number of photos so that we would have the opportunity to view the mechanism of time machine itself (along with a few pages from its operation manual as well).

What he had revealed about the technology that would essentially be responsible for advancing the achievability of time travel, actually sounded plausible. And as for the pictures of his time machine, it is indeed credible to believe that this device was designed and assembled from specs that were provided by the military. (I once worked for an aerospace company, which held several contractual obligations with the U.S. Air force).

The first was what I had observed for myself on July 26, in the very early morning hours (somewhere between 2 and 3 AM).

It was through my living room window that I personally witnessed a small isolated region in the skyline to the west having an unusual cast to its appearance that seemed strangely and unusually distorted, as though it were shimmering or rippling and slightly illuminated within. I wasn’t sure if this was actually the case or if it was nothing more than the peculiar way in which the streetlights were being reflected onto the pane of the window. And in relationship to where I stood it appeared directly in line to my own position.

To confirm what I was actually witnessing I had decided to turn off all of the lights as a provisional means of avoiding any potential glare or unusual reflection. I then retrieved my binoculars so I would be better able to observe this anomaly more closely. And undeniably it was rippling. (I had also viewed this same strange distortion from a second west-facing window as well).

In addition, it was within this undulating distortion, that I noted there was a detectable central point fixed to the earth. And it was from this focal point that this delineated movement of distortion was being generated and traversed outward in an arcing configuration.

It was from this subtle illuminated configuration that I observed an additional feature; the faint visage of arcing lines that were progressing in magnitude as they traveled in a corresponding manner within this rippled distortion. I remembered that John Titor had given a description of what you would witness during such an event. But he did not mention the arcing lines within this distortion.

I have never observed anything remotely close to what I had seen that morning, nor have I since. I’m not actually sure we even possess the knowledge to exploit this type of technology. And, if we did, for what intended purpose is it being used for, especially here in the city.

As for the location in which it took place, I think it would be better not to disclose it publicly.

I understand that there is videotape of Johns departure. And I understand it (or a copy of it) had been released to another individual(s). I personally have never seen the videotape and would be interested to know if there is a website were I could view it. It’s important to me to know if the distortion I witnessed reflects what is shown on the videotape.

There were additional events, and an encounter, that have taken place but this too I will keep to myself for now.

The Case of Charlotte Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain

What exactly happened to Charlotte Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain in a garden on August 10, 1901?  On this day, the women took a trip by train to the Palace of Versaille. After the tour of the palace, they decided to walk through the garden to see Petit Trianon, a small chateau where Marie Antionette used to frequent. On their way, the ladies became lost. After wandering, they found a deserted, old farm house with an old plow outside of it. They were growing very tired, but finally saw some men that appeared to be gardeners. One man told them to keep walking straight. At this point, they felt an atmosphere change as they came across another cottage with a woman in the doorway handing a jug to a girl. The women described the experience as seeming artificial like a wax museum. Something didn’t feel quite right. There was no breeze, no shading, no twinkling of light coming off any object. It was very strange, indeed. They came across another man wearing a very large, sombrero type hat, and they described him as being extremely homely and rough. He brought them to the Petit Trianon. So, the women crossed a bridge and came upon a woman in an old fashioned dress sketching in the grass.

The women eventually had tea and went home, comparing notes on the incident a week later. The women agreed that the palace grounds were haunted. They decided to return one day and could not find the path they previously walked upon. It disappeared. Later, the ladies published a book about the incident called An Adventure (1911), under the pseudonyms of Elizabeth Morison and Frances Lamont. In the book, they claimed that they saw Marie Antionette.

So, what really happened to these ladies one fine day in 1901? Were they simply tired and disoriented? Were the grounds haunted, or did the ladies experience some sort of time slip or worm hole? You can read about some of the explanations here: Explanations . There are many possibilities that could lean towards the incident not being paranormal, but what do you think? Were these ladies accidental time travel tourists?

In 1950 in none other than New York City, a man named Rudolph Fentz mysteriously appears on the street resembling, a man that disappeared in 1876, and is then hit by a car and killed.According to the legend, items were found on the body including $70 worth of old money, business cards telling his name and address, a token for a beer worth 5 cents,  a bill for the care of a horse and carriage, and a letter sent to him dated 1876.  Rather than summarize, I’ll post the investigation results here:

“Captain Hubert V. Rihm of the Missing Persons Department of NYPD tried using this information to identify the man. He found that the address on Fifth Avenue was part of a business; its current owner did not know Rudolph Fentz. Fentz’s name was not listed in the address book, his fingerprints were not recorded anywhere, and no one had reported him missing. Rihm continued the investigation and finally found a Rudolph Fentz Jr. in a telephone book from 1939. Rihm spoke to the residents of the apartment building at the listed address who remembered Fentz and described him as a man about 60 years who had worked nearby. After his retirement, he moved to an unknown location in 1940. Contacting the bank, Rihm was told that Fentz died five years before, but his widow was still alive but lived in Florida. Rihm contacted her and learned that her husband’s father had disappeared in 1876, aged 29. He had left the house for an evening walk and never returned. All efforts to locate him were in vain and no trace remained.

Captain Rihm checked the missing persons files on Rudolph Fentz in 1876. The description of his appearance, age, and clothing corresponded precisely to the appearance of the unidentified dead man from Times Square. The case was still marked unsolved. Fearing he would be held mentally incompetent, Rihm never noted the results of his investigation in the official files.”

Russian Time Traveler

Eugene Gayduchok
The Mystery of A Russian Time Traveler

First, I have to admit, it has not been easy reading about Mr. Gayduchok on various Russian websites translated by Google.  The grammar styles never transalte properly, so it is a tiresome read. I decided to blog about this man in English and will provide the original Russian links at the end for your own research.  So, on with the story. I will summarize the information I found.

In 1985, a man named Eugene Gayduchok visits Moscow to speak with a paranormal investigator named Vadim Chernobrovay.  Eugene told the man that he was from the 23rd century and he came to discuss a time machine that was being built, although Vadim says he wasn’t building one, at least not yet! To prove he was a time traveler, Eugene predicted the dinsitegration of USSR and Boris Yeltsin, as well as the Yugoslavian war.

When he was 13, Eugene claims to have entered a time travel device with his girlfriend and it accidentally took him to the 1930’s.  He apparently sent his girlfriend back and began wandering. He states that someone adopted him and he grew up in his own past and eventually worked, married, and had children.  Gayduchok was later drafted in to the Army, where he made predictions to his colleagues.

He died October 19, 1991.

Convictions of an Investigator

Conviction of a Time Traveler

Convictions of an Investigator
An Interview with Temporal Recon,
author of  Conviction of a Time Traveler

by PaulaJedi

Please Note: I no longer support Temporal Recon. My interviews will remain online as samples of my work and to leave up as historical documents.

John Titor. The average person doesn’t know who John Titor is nor does he understand the impact he made on the human race. Some people believe his whole story was a hoax while others, such as myself, feel that the whistle blowers themselves do not provide enough proof that John isn’t the real deal. Who the heck is John Titor, you ask?

Most of the information concerning his story can be found on Google and Wikipedia, but I will give you a brief description of the story that has been brewing since 2001. During that time, a man named John Titor visited a message board online claiming to be a time traveler from the year 2036, visiting our timeline in an effort to obtain an IBM 5100 computer. During his conversations, he made predictions about future worldly events and posted pictures of his time machine, which was placed in a 1967 Corvette and later moved to an SUV. This spawned not only a series of debates throughout the internet, but also plenty of imposters. With so many fakes, how can we determine which men are really Mr. Titor and which are not?

A man who calls himself Temporal Recon took it upon himself to research the John Titor story intensively. He wrote an anonymous book called “Conviction of a Time Traveler”, which not only describes almost every aspect of John’s conversations online, but also, in my opinion, supplies undeniable proof of John Titor’s integrity. In addition, this anonymous man has been willing to share many of his beliefs about time travel and the universe itself.

Please give a brief synopsis of your book, “Conviction of a Time Traveler”.
What motivated you to investigate John Titor and write the book and why did you publish the book as “Anonymous”?

I can remember very clearly when I first re-discovered the John Titor story. I had heard of it earlier in the early 2000’s (not sure when or under what exact circumstances), but suffice it to say, I dismissed it. At that time in my life, I didn’t really entertain the notion that there were things going on in the world that were not on the news. My thoughts were like many others’ when they say, “if it were true, I would have seen it on the news.” At the time, I never realized that I might not be as well-informed as I thought I was.

Nevertheless, in 2009 I was watching the news one evening and I saw (on the news no less, and, no, the irony is not lost on me) a commentator speaking on the loss of privacy, civil rights, constitutional protections or some similar topic. I was reminded that some years ago there had been a man claiming to be a time traveler. He posted that these very things were going to happen. I couldn’t ignore the very real parallel that I thought I was seeing, so I decided to look him up. Little did I realize at the time the first steps I was taking into a larger reality. So, over the ensuing months, I researched more and slowly became convinced that it was simply more likely that Titor was telling the truth than some contortion of logic that would make him a hoaxer.

But what actually motivated me to actually put down on paper what I discovered and make it available publicly was the irresponsible statements made by some over the previous decade, which had gone largely unanswered. They made these statements without a shred of evidence to back up even one of their claims of hoax. IF John’s warnings were true, how many people had they convinced to not prepare for what was coming over the last 10 years with their flimsy, debunk-at-all-costs stories? I was completely taken aback by the sheer irresponsibility of these debunkers over the last decade. Conviction of a Time Traveler was written as an answer to these irresponsible claims. I was very disturbed by their statements and the possible repercussions of their actions.

Over the years, people have stated over and over again that they want proof, or similarly, there is no proof that Titor was real. When I see statements like these, I can understand the motivation, but I also see them as representative of an actual failing of our society in general. People are very accustomed to having ideas spelled out for them and rely on the statements of others to spoon-feed conclusions to them. I’ve seen it time and time again and it causes me no end of frustration when I see people essentially saying, “tell me what to believe” in spite of the very real evidence right in front of their faces.

Conviction of a Time Traveler uses an evidence-based approach and slowly builds the case that it is simply more likely Titor was exactly what he said he was than being some hoaxer-genius. People have been executed on weaker cases! I do not insult the reader’s intelligence by feeding them baseless conclusions, telling them what to think. As you might imagine, this is the genesis for the book’s title, Conviction of a Time Traveler.
So, instead of “giving” people conclusions, I rely on the critical thinking skills of the individual to view the evidence, assess it and come to their own conclusions. Conviction of a Time Traveler is merely a compilation of that evidence. I have said it many times in my writings about time travel: There is no proof, there is only evidence. It is up to each of us as individuals to reach conclusions that represent as much of the truth as we are willing to accept.

The general layout of the book starts with a broad overview of the Titor story itself in an effort to bring people up to speed on just who John was, where/when he came from and other sundry details. I then move into an identification and presentation of the evidence I discovered in my research. Then, after having sufficiently answered (convicted) whether Titor was a time traveler or not, I then go on to try to recreate Titor’s world and how we/they likely got to where we/they found/will find themselves/ourselves in the near future.

As you will notice, I predicted that Obama is the president Titor spoke about in 2000/2001. As such, I also predicted that Obama will not serve a second term. As you likely are already aware (haha), Obama was re-elected. I still stand by my analysis and will only slightly modify it to say that he will not complete his term. My conclusion remains the same, but how we get to there is anybody’s guess. Perhaps the current imbroglio in which he currently finds himself is the catalyst? I do not know.

As for my anonymity, I wrote Conviction anonymously for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, I wanted the facts that I discovered to stand on their own merits. Over the last several years, and even in recent weeks, irresponsible claims of who Titor was have been bandied about which only served to completely throw into disarray the life of any number of private persons who had absolutely nothing to do with the Titor story. I understood, from these past irresponsible actions by naïve and unprofessional “researchers,” that if my name were known it would only be a matter of time before I myself was accused of being Titor himself! So, my identity would only then become a side show of the actual story: Time travel is real and it is happening now.

As it happens, I was not disappointed and was extremely glad I took precautions. Within hours of my initial announcement on anomalies.net that I had published Conviction, was it attempted to find out who I was. Even I was surprised at how quickly the debunkers moved to try to discredit Conviction of a Time Traveler. I can only say thank you to those who have gone before me and who suffered those slings and arrows. It was because of their experiences that I was fortunate enough to read that demonstrated to me that the story was more important than putting my true name on a small personal project.

Another reason I wrote it anonymously, which many do not necessarily appreciate, is that I wanted the choice of not talking about it if I so choose. I enjoy talking about time travel and its implications for the future (and past) course for humanity, but everybody needs a break from the heavy stuff and just enjoy an episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos, no? We can’t always be pondering the mysteries of the universe.

Please understand that I am answering the remaining questions not from the perspective of trying to convince someone that time travel is real and Titor was a time traveler. That argument has already been made, in the positive.

If  you could please speculate, what do you suppose John’s main reason was for posting on message boards at all? Wouldn’t it be better for a time traveler to remain undetected?

Once we can finally accept that the argument has been made that Titor was legitimate, we can start looking beyond the posts and start asking broader questions. One of those questions is the one you pose: Just why was he posting in the first place? Analysis of the Titor posts is much more complex than many people give it credit for but it’s not impossible, people just have to think bigger. A good rule of thumb might be to look at the results of those posts. From there, you can infer the purpose. By getting that far, then newer, larger questions begin to appear.

The exact scope of those results is an open question in my mind for now. Was the goal to inspire thought and discussion generally, in the hopes of facilitating future acceptance of time travel? Or was it to inspire an individual to think about the realities of time travel?  Tactics I have identified would speak to both possibilities, so it’s an open question. Maybe it was both? Maybe neither. But your second question raises a good point: That the very fact that he posted at all generally implies that it was for a reason.

In your book, you stated that John Titor traveled from Tampa to retrieve the IBM 5100. Was this due to the fact that his grandfather lived in Boca Raton?

It’s difficult to speculate on where, when or why John did anything. It must be remembered that just because he stated he came back for a 5100 doesn’t necessarily mean that it was his only mission. There may have been other, unacknowledged aspects to his presence then that he was not permitted, or even had reason, to comment on.

That being said, we know that Rochester, MN was where the 5100 was built. And yes, his grandfather lived in Boca, but IBM made a special dispensation for him to live in Boca Raton even though the 5100 development was happening at IBM’s Rochester facility. I believe John mentioned he entered this world line in Rochester, not Tampa. Though he mentioned it in a chat, not in the original posts many are familiar with. I’d have to go digging to find this exact reference.

On page 47, you made a joke that a 1967 Chevy from another timeline could be sitting somewhere. Are you implying that John didn’t bring his vehicle back with him to 2036?

This is another aspect of the Titor story that I no longer believe to be completely truthful. While it is possible that he told us the truth that he used a 1967 Chevy while here, I no longer believe that he actually brought it with him from 2036, in spite of what he said. Again, the evidence for this is complicated and would take a while to make the argument, but there is evidence for this theory. And the reasons for not bringing the 67 Chevy from 2036 (or whenever he’s from) are the same for why he didn’t take it back. Also, Titor did mention that he had gotten rid of his car and traded it for a 4×4 when he arrived in 2000 from 1975. Interestingly, I had the opportunity some time ago to actually sit in a 1967 Chevy Camaro (it was a Camaro, not a Corvette as many assume). I will tell you it was a very surreal experience when placed within the Titor context.

Please explain timeline divergence. What do you think of the possibility of our 2015 really being the 2005 that John described? In other words, is it possible or likely, according to what John has already told us, that our timeline could be 10 years off and a civil war could occur in 2015?

In layman’s terms, divergence is the measurement of how “different” one world line is to another. It gets significantly more complicated from there and I am by no means an expert on the details; I am always learning. That being said, I now understand this measurement is likely to be more of a statistical probability of “different-ness” rather than an empirical measurement as Titor described.

But you bring up an interesting point that many before have discussed. Is it possible that the Civil War didn’t happen in 2005 as Titor predicted due to divergence? It is a very easy escape hatch for explaining why a given prediction doesn’t come true, and yet allows us to continue our “belief” that Titor was a real time traveler, but it isn’t necessarily what is happening. To answer your question though, yes, this is a possibility. As a matter of fact, in a multi-verse where every possible outcome can and does come to pass, saying this is impossible would be incorrect on its face.

That being said, maintaining a small divergence is likely very important to a time traveler. If we take as a given that multi-verse theory is correct, then the possibility exists that the target of our mission might not even exist on the world line that we end up landing on and/or creating. How can time travel mission planners successfully plan a mission if they can’t guarantee that their mission objective will be there waiting for them? One might even surmise that navigating with the aim of maintaining a small enough divergence measurement is more important than the hour/day/month/year they may aim for.

I do not, however, take as a given that Titor was being completely forthright when he described that our world line and his were 2.5% different. I now believe I understand why Titor provided this information. It is extremely complicated and is beyond the scope of this interview, but suffice it to say that the actual divergence between our world line and his is likely much, much smaller. Your theory, while a good one that the events such as Civil War and strife were merely postponed due to divergence makes logical sense, but is likely not completely accurate.

Is John able to return to his original timeline? Why or why not?

I suppose my answer will depend on your definition of “original.” The conventional wisdom (provided by Titor, no less) says that no, he cannot return to his original world line. And, if we are being extremely specific about the word “original,” this is a true statement and Titor’s reputation remains in tact. If Titor started on world line “A”, he can never return to his original world line because, in a multi-verse of infinite universes, it is statistically impossible to do so. Even the small graphic I include at the beginning of Conviction of a Time Traveler is woefully insufficient to accurately represent the true nature of the multi-verse.

But Titor was not completely truthful when he said this. So what kind of person volunteers for a one way trip, anyway? Also, if he cannot return to his original world line, what good would picking up a circuit board from 1975 do for the people who sent him in the first place (on that self-same “original” world line he can’t return to)?

Again, we must first begin from the premise that multiple world theory (MWI) is a correct representation of the multi-verse in which we live. What this implies is that there are an infinite number of universes already in existence “right next door” to us, like spokes on a wheel. The farther afield from our “original” universe we go, the larger the “divergence” and the stranger that universe becomes. But as long as we stay “close to home” then we can be assured that any universe we land on is essentially the “same” as the one we left. Is a universe where everything is the same, where every event is accurately reproduced, every person exactly as you remember them, really “different?” How are you quantifying “different?” If this is the case (and we are working on the premise that it is), then: Every action that we take on this world line as individuals is exactly mirrored by our other us’s on the neighboring world lines, Ad infinitum. Many people forget this aspect of MWI and its implications for mission planning within the time travel program. MWI is not a stumbling block to solving problems, it is the technique! They are counting on it.

So, to answer your question, no, any time traveler who engages his machine will never return to his original world line, but it won’t matter, because any universe he does return to will be almost exactly the same, with exactly the same events, history, problems, solutions…everything.

Has the concept of time travel changed your view about life?

Absolutely, let me explain:
There seems to be a lot going on these days in the world. War, killings, crime, constant political scandals. In addition to these things, we also live in a completely connected world where we are presented with all these terrible things without end, without pause. It doesn’t take knowledge of time travel’s reality to see this.

But, I do find peace in a seemingly peace-less world. How? Because I have acknowledged that it’s all happened already. It is very tempting to allow ourselves the indulgence of getting angry at the latest outrage that is piped into our homes. But when you know and understand that Multiple World Interpretation is an accurate representation of the universe, you realize that, in the (very) grand scheme of things, the latest outrageous headline will no longer outrage you. I’ve said this before, John Titor came from the other side of the change in the status quo that is coming our way. He made it through, as well as many other people. The John Titor posts are, at their core, hopeful.

I disconnected my cable. I made a specific decision to not allow disquiet into my home, my mind. Yes, I try to remain somewhat informed via the web, but the emotional impact upon my mind is decidedly muted when I only read the news versus watching a talking head breathlessly telling me why I should live in fear of ‘X’

Living without the incessant imploring of others that I should be worried about the latest flu, missile technology or natural disaster is very liberating. That is not to say I am some sort of Pollyanna. I am well aware (such as it is) of the coming change to our status quo. Canned tuna and water filters are a strong salve against worry. John’s final comments on gas cans seem very wise here, don’t you think? (I say that the posts are hopeful, but my meaning should not be confused with some sort of expectation for a utopian age of Aquarius to take place. The real world will unfold as it will and as it already will have.)

In your opinion, since time travel is possible, what are the odds that we could find a way to tap into the afterlife? Do you think that the method of visiting the “afterlife”, which could very well be just another dimension, would be similar to that of time travel?

Consciousness and its implications have been an interest of mine for quite some time. I believe elsewhere I have commented that I am trained in Remote Viewing (a decidedly consciousness-centric skill). What Remote Viewers have known for a long time already is that MWI is an accurate representation of the universe. Likewise, it is possible to “send” consciousness to other times and other universes. This actually happens quite often to novice remote viewers, myself included when I remote viewed my own death. But that is a topic for another discussion.

I have always felt that the nexus between consciousness and time travel technology has been overlooked by many in the years previous to my own inquiry. Too often people are interested in questions no more interesting than what the weather will be the next day. Very disappointing.

In my own research I have come to believe that the machine itself is only one aspect of time travel. I am not saying that consciousness may or may not be required for time travel (though I am aware of one technology that requires it), but rather one cannot ignore ‘time travel’s’ effects on a person’s consciousness when one is hopping from world line to world line. The point I am trying to make here is that consciousness is not limited to this universe or the time that it finds itself. As a matter of fact, it is possible that consciousness in one universe is only a component of its greater whole spread out across the multiverse. Many people see separateness amongst these universes when there is none (where it matters). It is very three dimensional thinking, limiting.

Another aspect of consciousness as it touches on your question is our current understanding of “ghosts”, the afterlife, etc. Many believe that ghosts are disembodied spirits (or raw consciousness) of people who have died but haven’t fully crossed “back” over to where they came from. But where is that, exactly?

As it happens, I have some direct experiential knowledge in this regard from my own forays into the question of consciousness.  But what is important to take from this is that consciousness appears to survive physical death. For many, this is a truism. For others it is an open question.

In the John Titor posts, John described how, when the machine is engaged, it “separates” from this world line and then, once the target world line is identified it “reattaches” to its destination at the appropriate year. I am willing to entertain that this is likely a much-simplified explanation intended for the layman. But my question does not reside there. My question is: “where” is the time traveler while he is separate from any universe whatsoever?

So, to bring it all together, we can say with reasonable certainty that all of these statements are simultaneously true: Consciousness survives physical death. Multiple World Interpretation is accurate. Consciousness can traverse, at will, time, space and even its own universe. ‘Time Travel’ allows for the physical (and nonphysical) traversing of those same infinite universes.

There is one over-arching commonality to all of these seemingly independent facts, and that is: Consciousness. Consciousness is ever-present. We cannot escape it and I have come to understand that consciousness is to us as water is to a fish. It is the medium in which we exist and interact with eachother that we aren’t even aware of. It is the lattice from which all of reality is hung.

Returning for a moment to the very physical question of using a machine to hop world lines, if Consciousness (when not occupying physical space) exists “in between” universes (literally nowhere) and a time traveler can go to those in between spaces during his trip to the future or past while hopping world lines, is it possible for him or her to actually interact with those disembodied consciousnesses at some level?
This is the question I am currently entertaining. I have left far behind trying to find one more piece of evidence to prove “once and for all” if John Titor was real or try to contort his statements into some sort of prediction about our future. Why? Because there are much larger questions out there for us to explore.

Are you personally aware of any other methods of time travel? In other words, are various types of time travel technology available or is there simply one way to achieve it? Do any of these methods, to your knowledge, involve alien technology?

Yes, I have discovered at least three legitimate and different descriptions of ‘time travel’ methods, only one of which was the technology that Titor described and not counting Remote Viewing itself. But of course, this forces the question: Just how easy is it to ‘time travel’ that there are at least three different ways to do it? Because of this (and other reasons) it is likely that John was not being completely forthright in his description of his technology. And, as I’ve stated many times before, John was under no obligation to tell us the truth about anything.
As for whether extraterrestrial technology is involved, one must wonder and I have no evidence to support this. I wonder if “the government” would even admit we had help to begin with? Why do you suppose the Egyptians refuse to acknowledge that they didn’t build the pyramids?

You mentioned in the “I Will Fight No More, Forever” article in your blog, located at Blogspot, that you have found evidence of time travel dating back to the dark ages. Would you care to share some of that evidence or elaborate on that in any way?

In the original Titor posts John mentioned that the machine scoops out a bit of dirt and carries it along with it and then deposits that dirt when they enter a world line. Interestingly, that was not a complete description of what happens when they land on a world line. Let me ask you: What do you think would happen to the air that is displaced by the appearance of the bubble when the time traveler lands on that world line?

There is credible evidence of these two events happening simultaneously and in close physical proximity to each other dating back a very long time. Even more interesting than the scope of the time travel program are the key years that they visited (both for missions and testing) and the gaps where these events and physical traces are not found. This definitely gives us a clue to the program’s larger aims and constraints as a whole.

I have had conversations with individuals who do not believe in time travel simply because bad things happen in the world. How would you respond to people who assume that every chrononaut should stop ever bad event from occurring?

Wow. That is a big question. It has been my experience that many people who inquire about Titor or time travel in general put time travelers into the exactly wrong context. They equate his foreknowledge of events as God-like or equate it with some sort of psychic ability. I can not stress this enough that a time traveler is nothing more than a man with a machine and a mission (and quite a bit of insight through experience, assuredly).
The people posing this question indirectly and inadvertently put a time traveler on a pedestal and assign him capabilities and responsibilities that he doesn’t necessarily have. They force these things on him through their own preconceived notions of what a time traveler (or God, or Superman) should do. These people are essentially equating a time traveler to a supernatural being or superhero. I wonder if these people have considered that TT’ers realize that allowing uncomfortable things to happen is actually in our/their best interest? Titor even made comments similar to this in 2000.

Not for nothing, this is an argument that is un-winnable. On the one hand, people complain that if one has access to knowledge of future events, they are somehow obligated to stop these “bad” events from happening. If they don’t “save us” from ourselves, they are cold, sociopathic and merely “using” us and our time for their own purposes.

On the other hand, if a time traveler were to come back in time and effect the time line in ways that change the course of history, he is seen as meddling, intrusive and acting without the permission of the current residents of the given time in which the time travel is acting.

So which is it? Is the time travel an uncaring sociopath by allowing subjectively judged “bad” things from happening or is he a meddling interloper changing history to suit his own needs? I don’t envy a time traveler trying to explain the larger picture to those who think in terms of their own current events and time.

Also, indirectly, this question appears to try to relieve the responsibility that we ourselves have to “stop bad things from happening.” Why does the time traveler have a greater responsibility to make the world better than we ourselves? Sounds like a river in Africa, to me. Doesn’t a TT’er’s interference take away our own opportunities to help ourselves?

Has your research into time travel introduced you to other mysteries of the world such as the occult and the paranormal, to name a few? How has it changed your view on these subjects as a whole, if at all?

My explorations into the time travel question have definitely led my thoughts in new directions, namely the nature of the multiverse and all that that implies. Part and parcel to this, which I have commented on elsewhere, is the role that consciousness must and does play within the time travel context. I am still exploring this and I am definitely enjoying the ride in that regard.

Just for the sake of conversation and a little fun, if time travel became a known and accepted part of society, why wouldn’t humans begin doing business with the past and the future?

A very interesting question, Paula. I would say that it is much more interesting than some that have come before such as “who will win the superbowl” or “tell me the lotto numbers.”

Time travel appears to become a known quantity at some point in our future. There is evidence that shows that it will not happen on the schedule that Titor described, but it is coming. Will we live long enough to see it? To my eyes, that’s anyone’s guess.

I wonder though, your question brings up an interesting hypothetical. From your non-time traveler perspective, would you knowingly enter into a business contract with a time traveler from our future? How would you know you weren’t being taken advantage of or getting the best deal? Could this possibly relate to your previous question of a time traveler’s responsibility to make things “better?” Better for whom exactly? I wonder if the argument could be made in court that you never signed the contract that you are being held accountable to, because that was another you on another world line?

On a similar note, why would there be starvation in the world at all if a country could travel to another time and/or universe and collect or purchase supplies?

These last questions all appear to revolve around a common thread. It is: “what responsibility does one time have to another time?” Does a time traveler (as his era’s representative) have a responsibility to “save us” from “bad” things such as Hitler, Y2K or overpriced bologna sandwiches? Who’s us? Which worldline? What’s “bad?” The point here is that these are all subjective choices made by fallible people.  And, taking a different tack on this question, if the future does have a responsibility to the past (us), doesn’t this imply then that we ourselves have a responsibility to the future in general and John’s generation specifically? I might say, and from the Titor posts it would appear John’s generation might agree, we have failed our progeny.

We have our own experience right now (no time machine required) to discuss regarding this. Governments are incurring debts whose repayment stretches into centuries into the future. They can never be repaid within the lifetimes of those who authorized that debt and essentially shackle future generations into slavery. This is, for all practical purposes, theft of resources from the future and bringing it into our present. What is even more interesting is that we have a direct statement from someone from that very future generation. John himself said that his era had a very low opinion of us. A very rare insight.

I wonder if his statement from 2001 claiming that a nuclear strike would be good for us indicates that a serious disruption to civilization could serve to actually unshackle us from crippling debt and irresponsible governance/citizenry in our time? I am not trying to predict the future here, merely speculating. I might be completely off…

Now, I must wonder: will we/did they learn the lesson that stealing from the future is immoral? Does the coming economic collapse help to form their/our future policies on the practical use of time travel? Do we learn that, because immense debt enslaves future generations, it is wrong to steal resources from the future when the time travel policies are written?

Time travel causes us to think multi-dimensionally. Do you feel that the discovery of time travel either has or will advance science to the point where things such as communication could even become multi-dimensional? For example, could you imagine an Internet with which we communicate with other universes?

I have commented elsewhere that the development of the time travel technology likely made discoveries along the way, gravity and black holes’ true natures as just two recent examples (blog post on the latter coming soon). But what about advances in science after the technologies development and implementation? What about bringing advanced technology and know-how back from the future? By implementing a time travel capability, a very serious “booster shot” can be given to humanity and allow us to chart the course of our own development. This is a crushing responsibility and incredible honor, no matter how one looks at it. One hopes the TT program is in good hands.

Of course, because we know that time travel does become a reality at some point in our future, we don’t have to wait for its results. There is no reason to believe that humanity’s course hasn’t been guided from points in the future and the past. Is it reasonable to believe that all the issues that we are seeing (and suffering through) now are actually being purposefully maneuvered to coincide to actually cause or facilitate the coming change in the status quo? Darkest before the dawn, anyone? I have an unpublished essay on this very possibility.

Approximately how many other legitimate time travelers have you come across in your personal research?

Over 20 now. I’ve stopped looking for them, to be honest.

Do you watch Doctor Who?

You know? No, I’ve never gotten into it.

Do you have any basic advice for an amateur researcher of time travel?

Question every assumption you’ve ever made, every piece of conventional wisdom that has ever been repeated online. Recognize that the time travel question is much larger than merely the John Titor posts. Ask big questions. From my own short interaction with you, you are definitely on the right track to learning more.

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?

See the movie “I’ll Believe You.” Great little movie which takes a semi-comedic view to time travel; not everything about time travel has to be heavy. The ending is hilarious and will likely be understood and appreciated by any time travel aficionado.

I post essays periodically on my post at convictionofatimetraveler-johntitor.blogspot.com. I usually announce when a new essay has been posted at the Conviction of a Time Traveler Facebook page.

Conviction of a Time Traveler is available on Amazon as well as on the www.convictionofatimetraveler.com.   If you get the book from the website, I can inscribe it personally.

Question everything and have fun.
